Program

Building Effective Relationships with Tribal Government will provide valuable knowledge and practical experience for those wanting to work with California Tribes. This training is unlike any other. Participants will hear real life perspectives from inside Tribes dealing with outside agencies. Participants will also develop skills to help build working relationships and reduce animosity from both sides. Topics touched on include: learning about tribes' history, organization, and perspectives; What is it like in Indian country?; tribal governing institutions; cross-cultural communications and collaborative skills, tools, and processes; establishing effective relationships.
